Organize your home screen

Organize your Home Screen     

Zoho CRM for Android welcomes you with an attractive home screen that displays your activities for the week. You can prioritize your work for the day based on the activities that are displayed. You can also check off completed activities and add new activities to the home screen.

 
Toggle between the days of the week to view your tasks, meetings, and calls for the selected day. Tap the add (+) icon next to a meeting, task, or call to add a new activity.
 
Sort the activities into pending and completed lists by grouping completed tasks and calls.
 

Access Zia from the Home Screen 

Access Zia Chat or Zia Voice from the home screen to ask for the information you want from your CRM. For example, use Zia to view sales activities or automate tasks.
 
Zia Chat
You will need to enable Zia Chat before you can use it.

To enable Zia Chat

  1. Tap the icon in your Zoho CRM app.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Zia Chat under Zia.
  4. Toggle it on to enable Zia Chat.

 

To access Zia Chat

  1. Tap the Zia icon in the bottom-right corner of the home screen.
  2. Start chatting with Zia.

 

Zia Voice

You can choose to use voice interaction to ask Zia questions. You will need to disable Zia Chat to use Zia Voice.

To access Zia Voice from the home screen

  1. Tap the Zia icon in the bottom-right corner of the home screen.
  2. Start speaking to Zia.

 

Add Widgets to the Home Screen

Imagine how helpful it would be if you could see all the day's activities on your home screen at a glance. Widgets provide miniature application views that can be embedded on your home screen and give you periodic updates on your activities, tasks, etc. They also act as shortcuts for the app.

To add a Widget to the home screen

  1. Navigate to Settings > Widgets > Today Widget.
  2. Touch and hold an open space on your home screen.
  3. Tap Widgets .
  4. Touch and hold the Zoho CRM widget.
  5. Drag and drop the widget anywhere you like on your home screen. 

Add Apps Shortcuts to the Home Screen  

Adding a task, meeting, or account via the CRM mobile app involves a series of steps. You can bypass these steps using app shortcuts, which let you access certain portions of an app directly from your home screen. Press and hold the Zoho CRM app icon to view the available shortcuts. You can also customize these shortcuts.

To customize app shortcuts

  1. Go to Settings and select App Shortcuts.
  2. Modify the actions as required and tap OK.
  3. Tap Reset to Default to go back to the default settings.


Pin Records to the Home Scree 

Imagine you have a major lead you are hoping to convert into a customer. You'll probably have frequent contact with the lead and want to check their details often as you work on the deal, and you don't want to spend time finding the same record every time. You can pin records on your home screen as shortcuts to save time spent searching the record list.
This option is available in Android version 8.0 and higher.

To pin records to the home screen as shortcuts

  1. Go to the module (Leads or Contacts).
  2. Tap the record you want to pin to the home screen.
  3. Tap Menu and then Create shortcut.
